A Man Called Intrepid (1979) [Madelaine]: Executed by a Nazi firing squad. (Thanks to Richard)

The Natural (1984) [Harriet Bird]: Commits suicide by jumping out of a hotel window after shooting Robert Redford (non-fatally) in the stomach. We see her standing at the window, then the scene cuts to Redford lying on the floor, then she's gone when it cuts back to the window. Her body is shown later on in a crime-scene photo that Robert Prosky shows to Redford in a blackmail attempt. (Thanks to Betty and Pat)

Beaches (Forever Friends) (1988) [Hilary Whitney Essex]: Dies (off-screen) of a viral heart infection. The movie cuts from a scene of Barbara sitting on the beach with Bette Midler to a scene showing Barbara's funeral; her body is not shown. (Thanks to Mac)

The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) [Mary Magdalene]: Killed by a divine light in Willem Dafoe's dream sequence. (She survives the movie in reality.) (Thanks to Tommy)

Lantana (2001) [Dr. Valerie Somers]: Accidentally killed in a fall while running through the woods, trying to get away from Vince Colosimo. Her body is shown lying face down in the bushes during the opening credits, but we don't find out whose body it is until much later in the movie, when her death is shown in a flashback.

Stephen King's Riding the Bullet (2004) [Jean Parker]: Dies of old age/natural causes. (Thanks to Gary)
