| Manon (1949) [Manon Lescaut]: Shot in the back by a Bedouin rider while she and Michel Auclair are wandering through the desert. She dies in Michel's arms shortly afterwards, followed by a lengthy sequence of the grief-stricken Michel carrying and dragging her body through the desert before finally burying her in the sand.
