| The House of Sand (Casa de Areia) (2005) [Dona Maria/Aurea/Maria]: Playing a triple role as three generations at different points in time, the grandmother "Dona Maria" is crushed to death/buried alive (off-screen) when the house is partially buried in a sandstorm. We learn of her death when Fernanda Torres returns and finds the house buried; her body is not shown afterwards. (The daughter "Aurea" and granddaughter "Maria" survive the movie.) |
