| Dracula (1931) [Lucy Westenra]: Bitten on the throat and drained of blood by Bela Lugosi. We only see Bela bending over her as she lies in bed; her body is shown afterwards in the hospital after doctors unsuccessfully attempt to save her with a blood transfusion. She later returns to life as a vampire, and dies once again when Edward Van Sloan drives a wooden stake through her heart in her coffin. (We only see Edward opening the coffin and hammering the stake; we don't see Frances inside the coffin at all.) |
