Deadline (1988) [Lady Romy-Burton]: Drowned in the ocean (off-screen); her body is shown afterwards when some fishermen discover her, and John Hurt runs towards the commotion. (I couldn't tell whether her death was supposed to be suicide or an accident.)
Othello (1990) [Desdemona]: Smothered with a pillow by Willard White; she dies shortly afterwards after saying her last words to Zoe Wanamaker. (I haven't seen this version, but I'm familiar with the play.)
Jack and Sarah (1995) [Sarah]: Dies in childbirth (off-screen); her body is shown afterwards when Richard E. Grant goes into her hospital room and learns of her death. |
