Archie Bunker's Place: Archie Alone Part I (1980) [Edith Bunker]: Dies (off-screen) of a stroke during her sleep, a month before the episode begins. Jean did not actually appear in this episode (having left the series during the previous season), but the circumstances of her death were revealed by Carroll O'Connor.

Something's Afoot (1984) [Miss Tweed]: Strangled when a mechanical claw grabs her scarf and pulls it, while she's talking to Andy Gibb and Lenore Zann. (This was a televised stage play that aired on Showtime.)

Michael (1996) [Pansy Milbank]: Dies of a heart attack in the kitchen, while cooking breakfast for William Hurt, Andie MacDowell, Oliver Platt, and John Travolta. She reappears as a spirit talking and dancing with John at the end of the movie.

A Most Deadly Family (Like Mother Like Son: The Strange Story of Sante and Kenny Kimes) (2001) [Irene Silverman]: Strangled by Mary Tyler Moore and Gabriel Olds; her body is shown (wrapped up) afterwards as Mary and Gabriel carry her out to the trunk of their car. (Thanks to Bryan)
