| Wendy Hiller (1912 - 2003) Mrs. Ronald Gow (playwright) (widowed) |
| The Cat and the Canary (1979) [Alison Crosby]: Slashed to death (off-screen) by Peter McEnery; her body is shown afterwards (with a bag over her head) when it falls out of a secret passage behind a cabinet. Her face is uncovered by Michael Callan, but the scene cuts away to the others' reactions before we can actually see it. Anne of Avonlea (Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel) (1987) [Mrs. Harris]: Reportedly dies (off-screen) of old age/natural causes; we only see her closed coffin during her funeral. (I haven't seen this movie myself.) (Thanks to D.) |
